Mumbai, 2009: What is a big idea? Does a big idea get recognized? Does a big idea ever get implemented and showcased to the world? What does it take for a big idea to get recognized?

WagonR along with The Times of India presents, the ‘Think Big Challenge’.It is a first of its kind, contest wherein smart conventional Indians come forward to contest for “the title”.

The activity is spread across 19 cities and 160 Maruti dealerships, nationally. It is scheduled to kick off on November 11, 2009. The announcement phase will include print, radio; email blasts, websites and ground activations.

“WagonR Think Big Challenge is an activity which will bring out innovative business ideas. Unlike other challenges it does not stop at business ideas. multiple tests will be conducted at each stage of the activity to check on the skill sets needed for taking the business idea to execution. Mentoring sessions will be given for the chosen few before they meet Venture Capitalists to present their business proposals. About WagonR Think BIG Challenge?

WagonR, a smart car, a leader in its own sector has for the first time in the history of the automobile industry, has taken an initiative to give bright and smart people a platform to achieve their ambitions by presenting their ideas to industry stalwarts. What’s more, it doesn’t stop at the idea, it goes beyond. The winner gets cash prize of 10 lacs, along with a WagonR car and an opportunity to meet potential investors. Through this activity, WagonR aims to reinforce the WagonR smart leadership promise in an interesting manner.

Various skills that WagonR will be looking out in the participants through various stages in the activity will be the big idea, smartness, passion, leadership, marketing and the final presentation. The activity will kick off on the 11th of November and will culminate by the end of Jan 2010.

It is a unique concept rooted in the fact that WagonR has always stood for traits of leadership, be it First-in-class features, Innovative Design or being highest on the Customer Satisfaction Parameters. Hence, only a leadership brand could take such a stance.

WagonR Think Big Challenge is partnering with The Times Of India, HDFC Bank, Indian Angels Network, Times Zig Wheels, Times Red Cell, CNBC & Awaaz for this activity. The media vehicles being used include Electronic for mass reach and image build-up, Print for announcement and reminders and through destination branding elements at the dealership.
